• No sugar in January – diabetes and alziemers runs in my family. Both can be helped (not prevented) by lowering sugar in take. I have an extreme sweet tooth. So I need to take a break and try to incorporate only natural sugars into my diet.

• Read 20 books - I set this goal last year and only read 14. I’d like to really go for it this year.

• No new clothes in 2017 – with the exception of work related clothes (and only if I absolutely need them). I’ve got a shopping problem. I’ve finally got a job that gives me disposable income and I spend like a teenager who just got their first paycheck. It has to stop.

• No new makeup in 2017 – unless I’m completely out and it’s and essential like foundation, concealer or blush. I’ve got a so many eyeliners, lipsticks and eyeshadows half of which I’ve never so much as opened. I need to stop spending.

• Say Yes to things I’d usually say no to. – this is fairly self explanatory. My social anxiety sometimes prevents me from participating in things I’m going to try to fight it and go out more often this year.

Resolutions are so cliche and blah blah blah… But really who cares? Setting goals for yourself isn’t a bad thing no matter when or why you set them.
